PUALEILANI grew at Queen Kapiʻolaniʻs estate prior to 1899. After the Queen passed away, her Lady-in-Waiting took cuttings of the the plant and grew it.  Many years later she gave cuttings to Father Malcolm Chun, and finally he gave cuttings to Hibiscus Lady Nursery.  This beautiful 5-6" soft coral blossom is a piece of Hawaiʻiʻs history.  It is a precious memento of the beauty of our beloved Queen.
