PUALEILANI grew at Queen Kapiʻolaniʻs estate prior to 1899. After the Queen passed away, her Lady-in-Waiting took cuttings of the the plant and grew it. Many years later she gave cuttings to Father Malcolm Chun, and finally he gave cuttings to Jill @ Hibiscus Lady Nursery. This beautiful 5-6" soft coral colored blossom is a piece of Hawaiʻiʻs history. It is a precious memento of the beauty of our beloved Queen.
