Grown from seed

Here at Hibiscus Lady Nursery we spend several hours every day from December through April hybridizing. What joy! About 6 weeks later we harvest the seeds and plant them, then 8-16 months later we get a first bloom on those seedlngs. They are all beautiful, but some like todayʻs picture are way beyond beautiful. This gorgeous 9 1/2 inch seedling is amazing. She first bloomed today. We are hopeful she will pass all of our rigorous tests and become part of our fine Hibiscus Lady stable of hybrid hibiscus!

Here at Hibiscus Lady Nursery we LOVE hybridizing. We spend several hours every day from December through April cross pollinating special hibiscus to create seeds. 6-18 months after we plant the seeds, our seedlings begin to give us first blooms. The blossom above gave us a first bloom today - She is a stunning pure yellow blossom and measures 9 1/2" She has large glossy leaves and we canʻt wait to take cuttings and begin evaluating her for potential inclusion in our fine stable of Hibiscus Lady Nursery hybrids!
